Miatsum was created to help unite Armenian organizations and individuals from around the world working for the betterment of the lives in Armenia and Artsakh

Our focus is on highlighting the works of people who support the Armenian cause and facilitating their access to resources and exposure in order to make current efforts more effective by allowing more good to be done with limited donations. We work to inform and support, and also provide direct aid to individuals in need without taking anything off the top. In essence we strive to be a support center.

Our initiative serves as a forum for connecting like minded people serving the Armenian community and through our social media and connections to leaders and organizations serving the Armenian community, we spread information about important issues affecting the Armenian Diaspora, Armenia and Artsakh

We are typical people all consolidated by the same passion of uniting Armenians around the world and promoting their sense of belonging and oneness. In essence - WE ARE A MOVEMENT. We are here to assist the ones in need and strive to become the hub for organizations around the world passioned by doing great deeds to spread their message and initiative. We seek growth only to increase our ability to help others.

We are united regardless of social status, political beliefs or personal factors. What unites us is much greater than all of those things; it is our centuries of history, our deep and rich culture and the ability to call ourselves Armenian and Christian. Most of all, we are governed by transparency and accountability. No salaries, no personal gain, every executive at Miatsum is a volunteer and all we seek is the honor of helping others in need. We are driven to do so by the constant struggle for the protection of our cultural heritage and right to exist that all Armenians experience - something we wish for no people’s past or present.

Simply put, anything and everything that can support the cause of Armenian unification. Essentially, the involvement can or cannot be financial. Of course, there is the traditional way of financially supporting our efforts through a number of platforms. Yet, there is also the social aspect of what can be done to make a difference. Let’s talk about each initiative in details.

Financial Support.

The key here is not the amount. Although, it is not the money but the amount of it that makes a difference, the frequency has far more crucial aspect than the amount. The essence evolves around the necessity of continuously supporting the cause. Thus, finding that magic number that one feels comfortable regularly contributing to the cause has far higher significance than committing a high amount at a single occurrence and moving on with your daily life thereafter.

Movement Participation..

Consider joining the Operations’ Committee or applying to become Movement’s Ambassador in a specific country. Both of these venues would allow you to make a practical difference in development and growth of the movement. From an observation standpoint, the growth of the movement is crucial as many would hesitate to join at the early stages and would only commit once the organization has reached certain milestones and managed to execute on some of the growth initiatives.

Operations’s Committee is the execution cornerstone of the movement, as it practically carries out the movement’s initiatives and engagements. Essentially, these are the people that make sure the help gets to the intended destination.

Movement Ambassador is instruction guide to the movement. The ambassadors’ goal is to inform you on the activities of the movement and answer any questions you may have. Should you decide to join the movement, they would be your source to make the onboarding process as smooth as possible.

Social Media Participation.

Movement’s success largely depends on media awareness. One can take an active role into spreading the word about the movement and its operations. Essentially, it involves sharing the content and the initiatives via various social media platforms, reaching out to prominent Armenian influencers and searching for areas of interest where the involvement of the movement would be most beneficial.

Practical Participation.

Be on the lookout for assisting the movement to get things accomplished from practical standpoint. This could involve transportation of specific items to and from Armenia, if this coincides with your traveling plans. Technology proficient individuals are expected to assist the movement in creation of digital content such as promotional videos, website content or innovation initiatives sought to streamline movement’s growth

Every great journey must begin somewhere. It takes that first person that lays the ground that gets others encouraged. Often, this is the main source of inspiration. Sadly, most of us prefer to live our daily lives, voice our disagreements about something that bothers us and yet, we would wait for someone to step in and once we see that, we all rush to joint. There are also the ones that are at the completely opposite end of the rope. They have a vision and they are not afraid to fall. They have faced the failures before and ultimately reached the triumph.

While there are ones that are good at being visionaries, there are others that are good at getting things done on a practical level. Bottom line, it actually takes both for the journey to succeed. Thus, whether you see yourself mapping the future or actually accomplishing things one thing at a time, if you are a true Armenian Patriot, your place is among us. After all, if you choose to be silent about things that bother you, you must know that silence is violence.

If we all choose to think of ourselves as irreplaceable parts of the very same puzzle, we, as a force, will be victorious. After all, it’s all numbers’ game.

One word: Armenians. One word that translates in endless possibilities. It could be children that lost their fathers in the line of duty or large families that simply cannot make the end meet or our compatriots in Artsakh simply struggling to survive in blockade. Essentially, the only beneficiary of your involvement is the Armenian Cause.

Believe it or not, the task itself seems easy to achieve, if we consider the wealth and dominance of prominent Armenians around the world and yet, at the same time, this may sound like mission impossible, if we realize that majority of us are busy responding to personal challenges of our daily lives. Though, we exist today because we managed to carry our heritage throughout centuries of fights and survival, and, if we give up on our identity today, who would we be tomorrow?

The message we carry to Armenians around the world is simple. If you proudly identify yourself as Armenian, you must do everything within your power to ensure the legacy gets to see another day. We aim to be that connection that unites you with rich history we have inherited from our ancestors.

After all, the most complicated things come down to simple mathematical calculations that start with a simple sentence: “What if every Armenian…The possibilities of ending that sentence are limitless and diverse and we get to choose the ending.
